Are you ready for the chance to show off your IT skills?  Do you want to learn and get real hands on experience with MS Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, and IP Routing? Are you currently a technician comfortable working with end users, able to troubleshoot hardware and software issues?  Are you a Level I or Level II technician with at least 2-3 years experience and feel you’re ready for the next step?

We are a computer and telephone consultant serving small and medium sized businesses in the Washington, D.C. area since 1987.  We are seeking a computer whiz—someone who just loves this stuff and knows their way around a PC. 

Start off by troubleshooting the hardware/software issues of 2-3 clients per day while gaining valuable experience to take on more complex consulting and troubleshooting issues.  An interest in integrated telephone systems (VoIP) is a definite plus as well as cabling experience. If you have experience with Microsoft Exchange, VPN, RDP, and backup procedures, your candidacy goes up.  A+ and MCP certifications will also bring your resume to the front of the pack.

Do you have a track record of being able to effectively communicate with end-users?  Do you have a strong technical background?  Do you have proven experience working with Windows Vista, XP, and 2000?  Have you had experience working in a multi-client environment?

Fast forward one year from now. 

You stepped into a mid-level technician position and you were quickly promoted to a senior technician.  Clients are raving about your ability to provide them with the needed technical support in a clear and concise manner. Clients have been able to dominate their industry through your external support allowing them to focus on what they do best—running their business. You have taken junior technicians “under your wing.”  You are now working more and more with Microsoft Servers, routers and switches, dabbling in the telephony arena, and working with Senior Engineers to advance your own technical expertise.

Compensation is $45-55k per year.

Valid driver’s license and vehicle are required for this position as it requires onsite client support.
